Life has been busy. As you can imagine my time is limited and my desire to get posts out often is not panning out like I had hoped for this year. The things that keep me busy are work, school, and family. I have written quite a bit but that has been mostly for school papers. I keep reminding myself that this is just a season and school will be done before I know it. It is hard to believe that I have almost one year completed!
This year I have had the opportunity to visit one of my favorite cities, Charleston, a number of times. I fall in love with the city and the friends who have become family during each visit. Recently I was able to take some “down time” while visiting. During this time I took a walk (almost 6 miles!) on the beach and took some photos. I enjoyed every moment of that walk and finding new things to photograph. My friend, Kim, commented on a photo I posted on Facebook that I took while on my walk that reminded me of why I love being on the beach and spending my “down time” there. She said “If Becky ever turns up missing in Charleston, you can bet she’s talking to God walking on the beach.” It’s true. I spent the whole time talking with God and listening to Him speak through His creation. It’s refreshing to my soul.
I thought you would like to see a couple photos I took while on my walk.
I don’t get to do this as often as I would like but I am always so grateful when I have the opportunity. What do you do when you have “down time”?
