Writing and Graduating

March 24, 2018 by admin Leave a Comment

It has been too long since I have written a post to update everyone on where I am with writing and school. I have written a few blog posts for the Irresistible Church website and you can find the most recent post, Am I My Brother’s Keeper?, there.

My school journey is coming to a close. I have two classes left with one of them starting on Monday. I am really excited about being done with school. This journey has been hard and at times very stressful. I know that I have sacrificed a lot the last three and a half years to earn this degree. Even though I have sacrificed a lot, I would make this decision again. I have always loved learning and my time at Liberty has only increased my desire to learn each day. (This does not mean I will get my masters degree any time soon…I need a break! 🙂 )

During this time I have been learning to be intentional with the time I have with family, friends, and taking care of myself. This has not always been easy. I am also very aware that my family and friends have had to make sacrifices as well with my schedule being full.

On May 19th I will officially graduate. In case you are wondering, I will be walking at commencement! My cap and gown came in the mail this week. I definitely intend on celebrating this accomplishment. I am looking forward to writing more on my own site and to see what is next after graduation.

I want to thank you all for praying for me along the way and encouraging me and still reading my blog!

I'm a southern gal living out my God sized dreams one day at a time. I'm a writer, marathon runner, senior program coordinator, occasional photographer, and lover of all things chocolate. I love to run and encourage other runners in their journey to completing a half marathon or a full marathon. I have a brother with Cerebral Palsy, and I get to see the joys and challenges that face a family impacted by disability daily. My faith in Christ is what sustains me each day. Proverbs 3:5,6 is my life verse.
